I have always loved antique carved shell buttons, but it’s difficult to find enough matching ones to use on a garment. These new buttons were purchased online at Chadwick Heirlooms.


Summer top needs a bath

Here is a little summer top I knit last summer from Rowan linen drape, in the color ‘Petal’. (The photo is just horrible, and doesn’t do it justice.) The pattern is from the Vintage Knits book. It’s very comfy and cute. I pulled it out of the closet just now for it’s photo session and discovered that it has BBQ sauce on it. Wonder how that happened?


Ruby and Angus

Ruby Flatfoot loves Angus!! Ruby is a kitten we bottlefed for a couple of weeks and kept until just after she was weaned. She then went with me to work and stayed with the other abandoned kittens so she could socialize (and learn some manners from them) before she went to live with her new moms. She loved to play and cuddle with Angus when she was here, and her new parents brought her back here to visit with us and play with Angus again after they adopted her.
