Felted Laptop Bag

Published on November 7, 2005

I was inspired to make Mark a sleeve for his laptop by some really cool looking ones in the fall issue of Interweave Knits. Since I already had a slew of Lamb’s Pride Worsted Wool just laying around waiting for me to think of something to do with it, I thought this would be […]

Dear Mark,

I promise this laptop sleeve will be one of the least obnoxiously colored things I have made. And anyway, it will be better than wrapping the laptop in a dishtowel. Instead of the bright orange and pink yarns I would have used, how about these? I will have to get more yarn, but it will […]

Baby Blanket

Published on September 27, 2005

I’ve been a little busy lately, too busy to post but not too busy to knit. Check out the new infant baby blanket. Knit in super yummy baby cashmerino, this pattern was found in Debbie Bliss’ book “Special Knits”. It’s for someone I haven’t met yet, but he’s on the way.

Baby sweater

Published on July 11, 2005

I have been knitting a lot of baby sweaters lately, for two reasons really. The first is I want to have a baby, and the second is the instant gratification, you can knit a cute baby sweater in no time flat. Next one I do will be done in the round and then I […]

Buttons!

Published on July 4, 2005

I have always loved antique carved shell buttons, but it’s difficult to find enough matching ones to use on a garment. These new buttons were purchased online at Chadwick Heirlooms.

Summer top needs a bath

Here is a little summer top I knit last summer from Rowan linen drape, in the color ‘Petal’. (The photo is just horrible, and doesn’t do it justice.) The pattern is from the Vintage Knits book. It’s very comfy and cute. I pulled it out of the closet just now for it’s photo session and […]
